Saddle Stitching

Saddle Stitching means securing the pages of a book or booklet by means of wire staples through the centre fold. In saddle stitched work, the printed sections are inserted one inside the other.

Thus, the pages of a saddle stitched book with a finished size of A4 is printed on A3 stock with four pages of the finished book printed on each sheet. Similarly, a finished size of A5 is printed 4 pages to a sheet of A4 stock.
